Enclosed auto transport
Covered trailers for classic, exotic and high-value vehicles.
If the car matters more than the price difference, put it in a covered trailer.
What is enclosed auto transport?
Your vehicle travels inside a trailer with solid walls and a roof. Enclosed carriers usually carry between one and six cars, and many have lift gates that make loading low vehicles easier.
Who it suits
- Classic and antique cars
- Exotic, supercar and luxury vehicles
- Race cars and show cars
- Low-clearance or modified vehicles
- Any car you simply do not want exposed to weather or debris
Advantages
- Full protection from rain, hail, sun, road salt and flying gravel.
- Privacy. Nobody sees the car on the highway.
- Experienced drivers. Enclosed carriers are typically operated by drivers who specialize in high-value vehicles.
- Higher insurance limits. Enclosed carriers commonly carry higher cargo coverage than open carriers.
What to keep in mind
Enclosed transport costs more than open, often noticeably more, and there are fewer trucks on the road. Book as early as you can, especially in spring and summer.
Planning to ship a vehicle worth more than the standard coverage? Ask us for the carrier's insurance limit before booking, and check your own policy as well.
